Equality Charter High School offers a 2 to 8 credit Spanish sequence that teaches the fundamentals through the advanced levels of Spanish.
A major component of the Spanish program is Performance-based Tasks. Through hands-on projects, you will have an opportunity to communicate using the target language, connect disciplines, compare cultures and share with your school community! ¡Qué emocionado!
Why Study Spanish?
CAREERS - International business, political science, anthropology, media (radio or television), translation and interpretation, education, library science, medicine, publishing, journalism, tourism…just to name a few!
COMMUNICATION -Learning Spanish will also give the learner a better understanding of English (do you know what “orgulous” means????) and provides the ability to communicate with the fastest-growing minority group in the United States as well as with 300 million Spanish speakers in 22 countries around the world!
COLLEGE -Studying the same foreign language for 3+ years results in higher scores in both the math and English components of the college entrance exams! Once you’re in college, you might even need 2 semesters of a language to graduate
